What is the Online Clinic & Coaching?

Dean Ralph Sarmiento’s Online Clinic & Coaching is the first and original individualized online workshop designed specifically to teach the art of answering Bar Exam questions for the Philippine Bar Examinations.

Passing the Bar Exams requires proficiency in four essential areas: Law, Language, Logic, and Layout. However, many Bar exam candidates tend to focus only on reviewing the Law, often overlooking the other three crucial elements: Language, Logic, and Layout. The Online Clinic & Coaching program supplements traditional Bar Review by providing personalized diagnostics and guidance on how to answer Bar exam essay problems effectively, with specific emphasis on the three L’s, Language, Logic, and Layout.

Who conducts the clinic?

Dean Ralph Sarmiento personally conducts the program, drawing on his extensive experience in teaching Bar Exam techniques in various review centers since 2002 and in grading thousands of exam notebooks as a law professor since 1998.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is a one-time, non-refundable amount of P3,000 only.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS:

1. ONLINE CLINIC / DIAGNOSTICS (Using AUTO-PROCTOR)

You will receive two (2) workshop problems every month from May to August 2023, which you will answer via AutoProctor, which can give you a comparable experience to Examsoft’s Examplify for an efficient Bar exam preparation experience. For each problem you submit an answer for, Dean Sarmiento will provide you with a comprehensive evaluation, with feedback on your grammar, sentence structure, logic & reasoning, and the format, style, and presentation of your answer.

2. LIVE ZOOM LECTURES

You may also attend the following live Zoom lectures, covering various topics related to Bar exam preparation, including Bar Exam Answering Techniques, Issue-Spotting, Legal Analysis & Reasoning, and Bar Exam English:

Is this a Bar Review?

This Online Clinic and Coaching program is not a traditional Bar review. Instead, it is an interactive online workshop that specifically focuses on improving the skills in answering Bar exam essay questions. The program will only delve into legal principles and provisions relevant to the diagnostic problems or workshop exercises. The primary focus is improving the presentation, grammar, and reasoning used to craft Bar exam answers.

Is this coaching open to law students?

Learning the art of answering Bar exam essay questions as early as possible in your law studies is essential. The earlier you master this skill, the better prepared you will be for the actual Bar Exam. However, it is important to note that this coaching program assumes that you already have a basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Law. Therefore, it is recommended that participants should be at least in their second year of law school before enrolling in this program.

About Dean Ralph Sarmiento

Dean Ralph Sarmiento is a product of the public elementary school system in Minalin, Pampanga. Growing up, English was not his first language; it was one of his weakest subjects from grade school to his pre-law years. However, in his determination to secure a spot in the top 10 of the Bar Exams, he transformed English into one of his greatest assets. Dean Sarmiento realized that answering Bar exam questions is an art that can be learned through techniques, rules, and strategies, which he then mastered through constant practice and exercises. As a result, he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997 with a grade point average of 1.33 from the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City. The art of answering Bar exam questions also gave him the confidence to self-review for the Bar exams. Using this art in the Bar exams, he also achieved the singular distinction of being the first Bar Placer from a La Sallian law school after ranking 10th in the 1997 Bar Exams with a grade of 86.825.

Information such as your law school, graduation year, and previous Bar exam attempts will be used solely for assessing your performance and progress in the coaching program. Dean Sarmiento will not share your data with any third party without your knowledge and consent. However, Dean Ralph reserves the right to publicly acknowledge your success in passing the Bar exams by including your name and law school in a list of pass-outs from the online coaching program.
