College of Law Moot Court Team won the Third National Moot Court
Competition on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) held from November
19 to 21, 2007, besting the University of the The USLS team, which took the more difficult respondent’s side in the final round, was composed of students Michael Hanz D. Villaster (3rd Year), Adylyn T. Dioso (2nd Year) and Jul Davi R. Pandan (1st Year), and coached by Atty. Ralph Sarmiento. To underscore their dominance of this year’s competition, involving an International Humanitarian Law problem, the USLS team also won the Best Memorial for its Prosecution Memorial and Third Best Memorial for its Defence Memorial. Other schools represented in
the competition which is the biggest competition of its kind in the
country, were Ateneo de Manila University, The final round was judged by several legal luminaries, with Associate Justice of the Philippine Supreme Court, Justice Adolfo Azcuna, as the President of the Court. Also present during the final
